ABSTRACT
Islam is a religion concerned with the welfare of the disadvantaged, the community, and the world at large. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) institutionalized and practiced the beneficent nature of the religion and the generations. Thereafter, the Devil Rich and common people are influenced to alter by Shaytan's instillation of a dread of poverty, their humanitarian obligations to the destitute, wretched, and disregarded elements of society. This paper seeks to evaluate the general actions of a few selected Islamic organizations and the contribution of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to enhancing the welfare of the Muslim Ummah in Ogun State. In its conclusion, the study suggests that public education and the establishment of independent agencies such social programs include orphan and widow assistance, economic empowerment, and others this will strengthen the program's beneficiaries' independence.
